Deutsch-Türkische Jugendbrücke

The Deutsch-Türkische Jugendbrücke (German-Turkish Youth Exchange) was initiated by the Stiftung Mercator to intensify cultural exchange between young people in Germany and Turkey. The core of the corporate design is a three-piece colourful logo that can be playfully shaped into different forms. The result is a unique code that keeps communication lively.

Since the development of their corporate design in 2012 we have taken care of the Deutsche-Türkische Jugendbrücke’s visual image in print and for events. This includes annually published brochures, posters, rollups for press events and giveaways.

For the exchange event in Istanbul with Secretary of State Dr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier we developed a three-dimensional logo-sculpture made from three batons, which symbolised the exchange between Turkey and Germany. The challenge was to provide a static, safe design, which is easy to assemble but permanently functions as a solid sculpture. The solution was to use magnets with the correct strength and specific position. The sculpture was developed in close cooperation with Hruby in Berlin.

Of equal importance to us is the excellent quality of the printed communication media, which are printed by the Berliner family printer Moritzdruck. To always achieve a perfect result sometimes Frau Moritz even reaches for the paintbrush, for instance, to painstakingly apply the blue colour to the edge of the writing pads.
