The Ölmühle an der Havel, located on Bergmannstrasse in Berlin, produces hand-pressed oil in raw food quality. In addition, they produce a wide range of spices, teas and cooking utensils.
Along with the corporate design and packaging for the different product lines mischen was also responsible for the store design. An overall concept for the light, colour, material and furniture was developed resulting in extensive makeover. The interior design combines a relation to nature with simple elegance; craft and tradition meet pleasure and innovation. An earthy colour scheme enhances the effect of the multi-coloured products as well as referring to their origins. The accentuated light guides focus and divides the store subtly into three areas: food, kitchen utensils and manufactory. The clear design of the furniture avoids any decoration and thus corresponds to the pure approach of the products: the best raw materials without unnecessary additives.
Other highlights of the store design are in the details: the oil board with its integrated lights makes the sunken oil jar glow, a specially milled wood panel is used for optimal presentation of the towels and an over four-metre-long, free-standing table offers a generous sales area.
