For the Global Diplomacy Lab we have developed a modular, multi-layered and interactive image medium. Eleven paper cards provide all the information about the GDL. The postcard format animates to get in touch with the GDL. Additionally, six cards made out of different materials communicate the topic of diplomacy in a more haptic way. Copper, acrylic glass, magnetic vinyl, wood, binder’s board and a recycled GDL banner make aspects like conducting, fragility, connecting, nature and ecology comprehensible. The elegant costum-made envelope with UV laquer conveys a deep sense of “this is relevant mail”.
