Muslim Matter is an experimental publication with the contributions of 20 PhD candidates in Islamic Studies. Moving the book, the cover’s color is changing between green (color of the prophet) and violet. Means if someone starts to investigate and observe things from another point of view, her/his vision changes and completes. To read the title, which is printed on the edge between spine and front cover, you have to move yourself or the book. Something considered as marginal so far, becomes the focus of attention. The book is composed of scientific essays, photographs and objects, each one represented in its own way regarding format, paper and background color. The objects are represented as postcards. The layers create new connections between themselves.  Each layer is defined by different versions of one typography (serif, sans and monospace), this distinguishes them without loosing their connection.
