The Argentinian artist Miguel Rothschild transforms religious pictorial subjects into obscure yet humoristic objects. At the same time, his self-willed work combines past and present. The concept for the catalogue visualizes and materializes these aspects: Shiny embossing on linen, heavy high glossy paper and an elegant book format visualize the tension of Rothschild’s work. Sky blue in combination with divine bronze and mysterious black evoke associations to religion. The use of a classical serif font together with a contemporary antiqua symbolizes past and present.
