European Times is a research programme by the European University Viadrina Frankfurt Oder, the University of Potsdam and the Forum Transregional Studies in Berlin. It examines regimes and narratives of time and space on the fringes of Europe. The webdesign translates the project’s profound documentary and contemporary approach into a visual language drawing lines between non-simultaneity, parallelism and co-existence. With the logo, the different font weights and irregular arrangement of letters indicate a progression of time in an asynchronous manner. The bright yellow provides a strong contrast to the dark green gray, embodying the contemporary effects of historical events on the present day.
